The later cars ran on the same type track but with different voltage 18v, higher spec chassis known as HVT, they had an integrated magnet which helped them stay on the track, they ran faster than the 6v Cars and had a special start track/controllers and power unit as well as sets that featured a jump, crossovers, LH and RH intersections, crossroads borrowed from the Speedtrack sets and even a loop track.
Sets were produced, PP2000, PP3000, PP6000 and PP9000. The cars in the sets were quite common, but the additional cars are quite rare and werent readily available. The PP139, 140,141,142 and PP143 are all the rarest cars.
Bodyshells shared mostly the same moulds as the 6v cars except for the Red porsche, which had a later improved shell. Unusually the prototype shown on the catalogue depicts a MK1 shell in red based on the german police porsche.
Mk2 version - Slight difference on the side stickers
Common car. Look for complete stickers and transfers, aerofoil wings should be complete. Changes in colour from bright red through to deep dark red like this one.
Found in the PP9000 set and in most after Matchbox sets too! Mk1 in red is very rare.
